The miniFresnel spot produces a cone of light with an adjustable beam angle. It gives an even field of light with soft edges that allows accent lighting of almost any object without producing sharp contrasts between the surface being lit and the surrounding area. The 4-leaf barn-door allows the shaping and masking of the light beam while the use of glass or plastic filters allows the light to be coloured to suit to the demands of the lighting designer. This flexibility of use coupled with its ultra-compact size makes the miniFresnel particularly useful for lighting window displays and exhibitions, in fact wherever there is a need to illuminate objects of different sizes without changing the lantern, lens or lamp, but by simply adjusting the focus.
